The 2009 Summer Reading Program pictures are in the Friday, August 21, issue of the El Dorado Times.
They look great! Copies of the paper are available for 75 cents each, at the El Dorado Times office, 114 N. Vine, here in El Dorado. I will try to get a few copies at the library as well.
Thank you, Julie, and the El Dorado Times, for making it possible to get the pictures of these fabulous readers in the paper. We appreciate your generous support of our summer reading program.
Thank you, too, to the parents and teachers of these readers. Without your support the reading program would not be possible.
More thanks to come on Monday. I am writing this from home, and don’t have the information I need to thank everyone who helped us this year. I mainly wanted to get the word out that the pictures are in the paper!
If you have earned a prize in the Summer Reading Program, you can still come by the library and pick them up.
This is especially important if you have earned the pool party prize or your picture in the newspaper prize. The Swim party is this Saturday, Aug. 8, and you must have your ticket toget in. The ticket is good for you and your family.
The last picture day for the newspaper is Aug. 10, so, if you have earned that prize, you must come in that day to get your picture in the paper.
The other prizes can be picked up through the end of August.
If you didn’t get your picture taken last Monday, Aug. 3, you can still get your picture taken today. If you reached the prize level in this years’ Summer Reading Program for your picture in the paper, come to the library, and we will take you picture. Smile!
