Help kick off the 2009 Summer Reading Program
“Be Creative @ Your Library”
Come to the Clymer room and see musical instruments up close! Talk with musicians! You will even be able to try playing some of them!
We will begin the event with a showing on our big screen of a short video, “Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom”, a brief and entertaining history of musical instruments. Afterwards, you can visit one on one with the musicians.
Teresa Bachman, award winning musician, from the Butler County History Center, will be there with a dulcimer, banjo and autoharp!
Kirk Emmons has graciously agreed to bring his drums and other percussion instruments to add to the fun! Thank you so much to Mr. Emmons!

Kevin is playing at the Kansas Veterans and Family Reunion (formerly known as the Viet Nam Vets reunion) in July. He is vice-president of the organization and staff trumpter. Kevin serves with John Templin as a co-director of the Butler Community College pep band.
Dale Tower (Mr. Dale!) will bring a mandolin and maybe a guitar.
I will be there with a guitar, electric guitar, autoharp, ukulele, violin and an electric keyboard.
